After the impressive impact of the joint statement of European cultural organizations denouncing the shortcomings of the Code of Practice, the same organizations have gathered a task force and developed a communication campaign with the hashtag #StayTrueToTheAct.

The aim of this campaign is to bring to the attention of policymakers, MEPs and all those knowledgeable on the topic the current approach of the Commission towards AI and the drafting process of the CoP and its risks for the European creative ecosystem and for copyright. The campaign promotes three policy asks: transparency, protection of copyright, and balancing the interests of AI companies and European creators.

EVA participated to the development of the campaign through the ad hoc task force and has endorsed it. The first social media action took place on 20th May 2025.
