EVA calls for urgent action on the AI Code of Practice
EVA, together with several authors’ organisations, has sent a joint letter to Vice-President Henna Virkkunen and Commissioner Glenn Micallef to denounce the lack of progress in the second draft of the General Purpose AI (GPAI) Code of Practice. Instead of moving forward, this draft weakens transparency and copyright protection, undermining its very purpose.

On 27 and 28 November, the International Council of Creators of Graphic, Plastic and Photographic Arts (CIAGP) convened in Paris for its traditional annual gathering. Creative sector experts from all over the world took part in the two-day conference to explore how CMOs can further protect and enhance the rights of visual artists, which are severely challenged by digital transformation.
