Welcome to the new Secretary General!

EVA welcomes Laetitia Nguala Masamba as the new Secretary General of EVA, after her unanimous appointment by the EVA General Assembly.

Laetitia is a visual artist and published children’s book illustrator, holding a master’s degree in visual arts from ERG (Ecole de Recherche Graphique) in Brussels. She worked for several years in administration at the European Parliament before her passion for the arts led her to EVA. She joined EVA’s team in 2019, where she evolved to the role of Business Process Manager.

When asked to comment on her appointment, Laetitia said: “These past years working in a small and dynamic team and in collaboration with the membership and other cultural and creative organizations, have equipped me with the knowledge to carry on EVA’s missions and to ensure smooth management of the office. I am grateful to the EVA members for my appointment, and to Carola Streul for her guidance and encouragement over the years. I accept the new role with enthusiasm and a proactive attitude towards the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for visual artists”.
